Gomersal Lodge Hotel, Cleckheaton

The hotel is set in beautiful grounds, close enough to the town for affordable taxi rides. The rooms, although small, feature a very comfortable four-poster bed, albeit smaller than expected from the photos. The service, unfortunately, was provided in an extremely unprofessional and rude manner. The location, while appealing with its proximity to the town, loses its charm due to the downhill feeling from the moment you step in the front door, especially in the almost eerie, dark reception area. The dining experience, served in a bowl, offered tasty cinnamon rolls. The facilities were adequate with an emphasis on simplicity.
